When I update Account Settings and enter a new Current Cash Balance, and
click Done, that number is never the same in my Portfolio view. In the
Portfolio, the number may be a few hundred or even thousands off from the
number I entered in the Account Settings window. I've used moneycentral for
as long as it's been around and have always had this problem and have never
found a solution

The cash in account settings vs the cash shown in Portfolio view is impacted
by dividends, sales, etc..
E.g. If you have 100 of cash in an account and record/add a $5 dollar of
dividend payable next week the account settings shows 105, the portfolio
view shows 100 until the date payable then shows 105. If you reinvest the
dividend, it subtracts the cash from the assigned account, increases the
number of shares then the account setting and portfolio view will once again
be equal.
Look at each investment and ensure that all entries manual or automatic are
accurate.
If you are attempting to compare to a brokerage account..find your cash on
the brokerage online site or statement. In moneycentral, look at each
holding and total all dividends not yet paid but recorded. Add the total of
the all the dividends not paid but recorded to the brokerage cash amount and
enter that value in the Account settings. The portfolio view will only show
the cash through the current date.
