Can anyone tell me why it takes 2-3 disks to back up Money
2003? Also, "sometimes" it takes 3 disks but, the next
time it only asks for 2 disks? I don't understand why it
would do this? I have used money for 10yrs & never needed
more than one disk. I start a new file ea year & remove
the old one so, it's not that I have too many years on it.
Thanks for any help. Ida

As Money gets more sophisticated, so does the way it stores your data.
There is a certain amount of basic overhead to a Money backup file and that
minimum overhead gets bigger and bigger as Money is capable of storing more
than just your checkbook data in it.

2 or 3 disk usage for a new file each year sounds as if it is not
compressing. Go to: Tools>>Options>>Backup>>
[x ] Back up to Floppy
[x] Make my file small (compress)xxxxxxx
