Hey
I have used a mac for years and quicken for the mac
to keep my finances in check. I switched to the pc
about a year ago and started using quicken for the pc.
I started new using quicken for the pc because i couldnt
for the life of me figure out how to import the data from
my mac........ive recently found out how to do that NOW
but I have a years worth of data in quicken for the pc.
NOW I would like to switch to Money for the pc that came
with my computer. I got the files converted from my
quicken for the pc to money ok but can i now go back and
import all that old information from my mac into money
with out screwing up all my new information?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated

First, be aware that the Money group is microsoft.public.money.
What you might do to integrate the older data with your new data is
to do QIF export from each file you want to integrate. If there is
an investment account make sure that the file name for the QIF file
is alphabetically before the cash accounts. One way to do this is to
start each investment account QIF file name with an underscore.
Then do File->Import of ALL of the files at once. To do that select
ALL of the QIF files at once with cntl+ or shift+.
Now go through and look for duplicates.
Keep an extra unmodified copy of the Money file in case you don't
like the result.
