Hi, I need to open a Money 04 file in Money 98. I have
the 04 file in both the regular file as well as backup.

Money 98 does not acknowledge the 04 file as an Mny file.

Any clues?

Money like the vast majority of software is not backwards compatible. Think
about al the changes that have been made in Money over 6 years!!

You could try exporting from M04 in QIF format but I can't remember whether
M98 had a QIF import facility.
