My accounts will not update. Whenever I try, I get the "red triangle of
death" in the upper-right corner where the manual update button is. Under
update summary, the accounts ALWAYS say "your account information is being
updated, which may take a few minutes. If this message appears for more than
five minutes, try again." It says this no matter how many times I try to
update, and it never goes away, no matter how long I wait. I've also noticed
that the account info on my MSN Money page isn't updating either. What's the
deal?

Microsoft data base has lots about updating issues and how versions have date
limits and how migrating from older versions can cause problems with data on
the money site. I suggest u read some. Did u try to flush whats on the money
site?
good luck (I use to use 99 and 2003 versions and had no Idea there were
expiry dates for the update services until I bought a 2006 version on the net)

Boris, thanks for trying to assist, but please don't bump threads that died
four months ago. The problem was related to the accounts that rely on MSN,
which licenses a partner's technology (I can't remember the name) which, from
all I can tell, is simply terrible. If you tell Money not to use MSN (and
thus disable the updating features on any account that relies on it) then all
the other accounts will update just fine. Ultimately, I just did that, and am
updating once a month. It is very irritating, and I wish Microsoft would
eitehr find a different technology partner, or figure out how to do it on
their own, because this just isn't cutting it.
