About 3 months ago, I downloaded the trial version of MSN money on my laptop.
I already had a Money software on my PC at that time, and I was using it
regularly. After downloading the trial version on laptop, I exported the file
& accounts from the PC to the laptop, and was able to work with it fine.
Recently I purchased and downloaded the MSN Money essentials online on my
laptop as the trial version was expiring. Now the new Money software won't
convert the trial version file and is asking me to set up everything again
from the beginning!!! I don't want to do that...I have 2 years worth of
expenses in the old file (that I thankfully saved in an F drive). Now it
won't even let me open the trial Money saying it needs to be converted, and
then says unable to convert.

Please help me convert the accounts from the trial version to this new one,
otherwise this new Money is of no use to me.
Thank you.

There is no MSN Money Essentials. You probably bought Microsoft
Money.

The later. You need to return Essentials and buy Microsoft Money
Deluxe.

Thanks, U r right, it is Microsoft Money Essentials....but why won't it work
with the trial version...they have the same desktop icon. And I was not
warned that Money Essentials will not work with the trial version....

I think you were warned that Money Essentials would not work with
*any* other version. It would work with the trial version of Money
Essentials.

This just happened to me this morning. I went straight to purchase from my
trial offer, and it sold me MICROSOFT MONEY ESSENTIALS. NO WARNING, cal.
How do we return something we;ve already downloaded in error, which was MS's
fault?? Please reply asap. Keep the faith, Harmeet.

If you bought it online, I would try the support link included in
your confirmation email.
