I'm using MS Money 2002 Deluxe to manage a few stocks I
own. Recently, one of the stocks I owned merged with
another stock. I can't seem to find a way with my present
software to simply change the name, ticker symbol, and
total number of shares owned? Is this possible or does a
newer version of MS Money handle merger situations?

Money 2003 and Money 2004 Deluxe do it better. While Money 2002
deluxe does have the reorganization thing, I think it does not
maintain the basis date correctly.
You can change the name and symbol in the details. Enter an
appropriate split to change the number of shares.
microsoft.public.money is the Money usenet group.
